Pharmacy Tech CE Program
Are you a Pharmacy tech interested in becoming a pharmacist?
The Pharmacy Technician CE program will provide three (3) credits of continuing education for registered and certified pharmacy technicians. NEOMED College of Pharmacy students and faculty will be updating pharmacy technicians about immunizations and providing ways for technicians to take a more active role in assessing a patient’s immunization needs. Technicians will also learn about what steps they need to take in order to pursue a career as a licensed pharmacist.

10am-11am: 2020 Immunization Update
- Pharmacists and pharmacy interns can now immunize patients ages 3 years and older. This session will help technicians focus on identifying patients eligible for certain vaccinations, including pediatric patients.
11am-12pm: USP 800
- You know that new hazardous drugs section in your pharmacy? That’s due to the implementation of USP 800. This session will focus on the legal requirements for following USP 800 guidelines.
12pm-1pm: Proper Medication Disposal
- This session will focus on patient safety and recommending appropriate medication disposal techniques to patients.
