Physicians on Cleveland International Film Festival Lineup

The efforts by an international team of physicians to improve health care for Haitian children is told in the film Open Hearts, being shown as part of the Cleveland International Film Festival. 

Brittany Potts, M.D., associate professor of pediatrics, and Jeffrey Kempf, D.O., formerly an associate professor of pediatrics and clinical associate professor of emergency medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University, were a part of the team that brought cardiac surgery to St. Damien Pediatric Hospital in Haiti.

Dr. Kempf has spoken at NEOMED on mission work for the underserved.
