NEOMED Student-run Free Clinic Announces Remainder of 2018 Dates

The Student OutReach to Area Residents (SOAR) Free Clinic, NEOMED’s student-run practice, has announced its dates of operation to provide free health care services for the community. The clinic will be open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the following Saturdays: Oct. 20, Nov. 3, Nov. 17, Dec. 1 and Dec. 15.

SOAR offers free primary care, chronic disease management, regular routine care, physical exams, basic labs and prescriptions for medications.

In 2017, the clinic was named Free Clinic of the Year by the Ohio Association of Free Clinics. Since its opening, the student-run free clinic has had 339 NEOMED student volunteers who have provided 2,255 hours of service to address the health needs of the community.
