Students participating in a hands-on patient scenario

MEDCAMP Offers Undergraduates Inside Look

Area undergraduate students are invited to apply to Northeast Ohio Medical University’s MEDCAMP, a three-day immersive program that offers a firsthand look at the life of a medicine student and the profession of clinical medicine.

MEDCAMP is designed to provide hands-on experiences in biomedical science workshops involving research and clinical problem-solving. Participants will join physicians, NEOMED College of Medicine students, faculty members and researchers in activities to learn how a physician communicates with patients; how to study the clues to a patient’s illness; how to solve medical cases by using critical thinking skills; and how to execute laboratory techniques. Participants will also complete a case study on a fictitious patient.

The program will take place July 11-13, with overnight accommodations at Kent State University residence halls. All meals and transportation are provided.

Learn more and register at neomed.edu/MEDCAMP.  Applications may be submitted electronically or mailed with a postmark of no later than April 3, 2019. Questions? Contact Denise Mead at 330.325.6580.
