Day Two of National Advocacy Week 2017: Reversing the Opioid Epidemic

Project DAWN (Deaths Avoided with Naloxone) is a community-based drug overdose prevention and education program. It provides Naloxone kits to friends, family, and community members who are in a position to help someone nearing an overdose and preventing a death. This is one of the few events you can elect to attend that will actively teach you how to save lives!

During this training session you will learn:

  • What is Project DAWN -What is Naloxone (Narcan) (how does it work and how to administer it)
  • Ohio/Portage County statistics
  • Why public health needs to be involved
