MEDCAMP is a three-day intensive immersion experience held in the summer, designed to stimulate students’ interests in the sciences related to medicine and pharmacy and to expose them to opportunities in those ﬁelds. The program provides “hands-on” experiences in biomedical science workshops involving research, clinical problem-solving and an introduction to the ﬁelds of clinical medicine.
The program is sponsored by Northeast Ohio AHEC, housed at NEOMED. It is hosted by the Department of Family and Community Medicine, in conjunction with Departments of Integrative Medical Sciences, Anatomy and Neurobiology and the Ofﬁce of Enrollment Services.
Applicants must be 18 years old, have graduated high school and be enrolled in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of undergraduate education, have a GPA at a level of “B” or above and must reside or attend school in one of the following counties: Ashland, Ashtabula, Carroll, Columbiana, Crawford, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Holmes, Lake, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Richland, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, Tuscarawas or Wayne.
