Drs. Fred and Penny Frese Lecture Series: Nathan Shuherk, schizophrenia advocate

Nathan Shuherk is a disability advocate and public speaker living with schizophrenia and panic disorder.
Also a nonfiction book reviewer and influencer, Shuherk is known on social media under the username @schizophrenicreads. His broad reach with 167K TikTok followers and 137K Instagram followers gained Shuherk accolades as one of Men’s Health Magazine’s Top 60 Influencers Worth Following in 2023.
As the 2024 Frese lecturer, Shuherk will speak at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 23 in Watanakunakorn Auditorium on the campus of Northeast Ohio Medical University and via Zoom.
