We are developing a fresh approach to educating future dentists based on our 50 years of creating transformational leaders in medicine, pharmacy and other fields.

Clinical experience during dental school is essential for your success. At NEOMED, in addition to a solid foundation established in our on campus clinical training, much of your clinical education will occur at community-based (off-campus) training sites, where you will work with a variety of patients, including in rural and underserved communities. You will be exposed to different cultures and different perspectives on dental care.

Accreditation

Date Milestone
February 2023 Bitonte College of Dentistry submitted to the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) the CODA Application for Initial Accreditation.
July 2023 Formal approval by the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) was granted to offer the Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree program.
December 2023 NEOMED hosted an onsite “Change Visit” by its institutional accreditor, the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), for approval to offer the DDS degree program.
February 2024 Results from HLC Change Visit anticipated.
April 4-5, 2024 CODA conducted a site visit on the Rootstown campus as part of the process for Initial Accreditation. Third-party comments are welcome as part of our initial accreditation process.
August 2024 Results from CODA site visit anticipated.
