A. Purpose

To establish a Policy that specifies standards for the College of Medicine M1/M2 courses created by the Curriculum Management and Assessment Committee (CMAC) and used to improve programmatic quality.

B. Scope

This Policy applies to credit-bearing courses in the College of Medicine M1/M2 curriculum.

C. Definitions

  1. College of Medicine Style Guide refers to a standardized course template for the learning management system that provides parameters to enhance digital learning, teaching, and student satisfaction.

D. Policy Statement

  1. The CMAC Standards (Attachment 1) will be followed for all College of Medicine credit bearing courses.
  2. The Curriculum Management and Assessment Committee (CMAC) will continually review and evaluate the CMAC Standards to decide if modifications are needed.
  3. Each College of Medicine Course Director is responsible for adhering to the CMAC Standards.
