The Research, Entrepreneurship, Discovery and Innovation Zone
The Research, Entrepreneurship, Discovery and Innovation Zone (REDIzone®) program is one of several University-wide initiatives to foster innovation and technology commercialization at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED).
The REDIzone program not only offers physical space for early-stage biomedical companies, but is also a portal to many other resources, including Institutional Review Board certification for clinical trials, a world-class Comparative Medicine Unit, technology transfer assistance, and mentorship from renowned faculty and scientists.
Additionally, the REDIzone program facilitates regional partnerships through its active affiliations with eight major teaching hospitals and its links to local and state business development organizations and regional funding resources.
The REDIzone is located in The Timken Foundation of Canton Innovation Corridor, on the NEOMED campus. As a local stakeholder, The Foundation has provided a major gift to support the REDIzone’s mission as a generator of private companies to drive economic prosperity throughout the region.
