The Teaching and Learning Curriculum (TLC) Program is designed for PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents in Northeast Ohio. Based on your teaching experience and your interest in a career in academia, you may choose from one of two tracks to meet your career goals.

Why a teaching certificate?

To provide PGY-1 and PGY-2 pharmacy residents with opportunities to:

    • increase knowledge about teaching and learning, assessment, and academia.
    • exercise teaching skills in the classroom and experiential setting.
    • develop a philosophy of teaching.
    • prepare a teaching portfolio.

Track 1

Introduction to Teaching & Learning

Designed for residents with little to no teaching experience and an interest in gaining foundational knowledge and skills in teaching and learning.

Track 2

Exploring a Career in Academic Pharmacy

Designed for residents with some teaching experience and an interest in exploring an academic career path.
