Northeast Ohio Medical Univeristy (NEOMED) Office of Public Safety and Security

Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) is dedicated to providing and maintaining a safe and secure campus for our students, faculty, staff and visitors. We strive to insure a pleasant educational and work atmosphere for our students, faculty, and staff.

Reporting Criminal Incidents and Other Emergencies

All students, employees, and visitors should promptly call 911 to report criminal incidents, accidents, and other emergencies. When reporting an emergency from a campus desk phone, dial 9-911. Dialing '9' first obtains an outside line. After a call is made to (9) 911, students, employees, and visitors are strongly encouraged to notify security at 330.325.5911 to inform them of the emergency. Doing so allows security to assist first responders.

For non-emergency public safety related matters, contact campus security at 330.325.6489, or the public safety and security supervisor at 330.325.6492.

Access to Campus Facilities

Access to the campus is restricted to NEOMED identification holders. Generally, all exterior doors to the campus are locked and alarmed, with the exception of the main entrance to the Conference Center, which is unlocked for certain events. Several exterior doors have key card access allowing personnel and students convenient access to their work and study areas. All campus visitors must report to the reception desk between 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. and Security all other hours to sign in and obtain a guest ID. Guests must stay with a NEOMED employee while in secured areas of Campus.

NEOMED Mass Emergency Notification System
