Faculty Development

The Office of Faculty Development supports the success and satisfaction of Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED)'s greatest resource: its faculty – as teachers, researchers, administrators and academic leaders. Although faculty bring knowledge and expertise in their diverse areas of specialty, they have similar learning needs related to fulfilling academic responsibilities and academic career paths. The office provides a central resource for needs assessment and the development, communication, implementation, evaluation, and dissemination of faculty development activities, resources and outcomes.

Definition of Faculty Development

Educationally sound activities and resources designed to enhance the academic knowledge and skills of faculty to improve their effectiveness and satisfaction as teachers, researchers and administrators toward the continued improvement of the quality of the curriculum and learning outcomes.

Mission

In support of the mission of NEOMED, the Office of Faculty Development supports faculty in their academic roles through the provision and communication of faculty development activities and resources designed to improve academic skills, the quality of academic work and the academic environment of the University.
