Advancement

Division of Advancement, Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED)

The Division of Advancement (formerly known as the Division of External Affairs) functions as the external face of Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED), supporting the priorities of the President and the Board of Trustees.

The Division of Advancement includes the Offices of Alumni Affairs, Development, and Public Relations and Marketing.

Welcome Vice President for Advancement, Daniel Blain

The NEOMED community welcomed Daniel Blain, vice president for advancement and president of the Northeast Ohio Medical University Foundation, on Monday, April 8, 2013.

Daniel will implement strategies to maximize the University’s fundraising results, serve on the University’s Leadership Team and oversee the Division of Advancement, managing the development and alumni relations staff, and the public relations and marketing team.

Alumni Affairs

The Office of Alumni Affairs seeks to connect and reconnect alumni with one another and with current students, faculty and staff. The Office can help University graduates find volunteer opportunities to serve as mentors, voluntary faculty members and specialty advisors with current students as well as help them with transcript and credentialing verifications. The office also promotes student awareness of the Alumni Association, coordinates the activities of the Alumni Association Board of Directors and reaches out to alumni across the world.

Development

The Office of Development manages the day to day operations associated with private contributions to the University. This includes immediate, multi-year and planned gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations. Alumni and friends of the University who wish to have a lasting impact on the University are encouraged to learn more about our giving options or contact a member of the development staff.

Public Relations and Marketing

The Office of Public Relations and Marketing works to present the University to its external constituents in a positive light, develop internal brand ambassadors, and help build lasting relationships between the University and its key publics. This includes those relationships with students, families, alumni, donors, faculty, staff, the general public and members of the media.
