NEOMED Team Supports NAMIWalks Summit County

The NEOMED Walking Whales team supported the National Alliance on Mental Health’s annual walk, exceeding its own goal and raising $1,100 at NAMIWalks Summit County, held Saturday, Oct. 20. All of the money raised will go directly to the Northeast Ohio chapter of NAMI, which offers support and educational groups for consumers of mental health services and their families and support persons – including education and support for kids.

The Walking Whales Team included representatives of NEOMED’s Best Practices in Schizophrenia Treatment (BeST) Center, its Center for Student Wellness and Counseling Services, and its Department of Psychiatry.
