You’ve probably heard that going to medical school or pharmacy school is expensive. While most medical school students graduate with debt — about 90 percent, according to the AAMC. It’s important to know all your financial aid options and that medical school can be affordable.

Education for Service Scholarships
Education for Service scholarship opportunities provide funds for students to finance their education in exchange for a commitment to serve the community and create a more diverse health care workforce that cares for underserved populations.
Need-Based Scholarships & Grants
Need-based scholarships and grants are awarded to individual medicine and pharmacy students at NEOMED who demonstrate a financial need. These are considered a source of “gift-aid” because they are a source of free money – financial aid that doesn’t have to be paid back.
Merit-Based Scholarships & Grants
Merit-based scholarships and grants are awarded through the NEOMED Foundation and differ slightly from need-based in that in addition to demonstrated financial need and availability of funds, recipients must also demonstrate a high academic success.
Scholarships for Military Service
Scholarships and financial aid programs are offered by the military branches to make your health care education affordable.
