NOCHE Partner Universities
The College of Pharmacy offers the doctor of pharmacy program in partnership with member universities of the Northeast Ohio Council on Higher Education (NOCHE). While applicants from institutions across Ohio and nationwide will be considered for admission, students from our NOCHE partner universities will be guaranteed an admissions interview if they meet specific admissions criteria. Requirements for a guaranteed interview include: 3.5 cumulative GPA, 75th percentile score on PCAT, ability to complete all prerequisite courses (72 semester hours), and at least 30 semester hours completed at the institution.
Students who complete preprofessional pharmacy studies at any of these twelve institutions are encouraged to apply for one of the institution's seats in the professional program through an “at large” application review. The Pharm.D. program will admit 75 students; 15 of the best-qualified students from each of the four partner institutions (University of Akron, Cleveland State University, Kent State University, and Youngstown State University) with preferential admissions consideration and 15 students from NOCHE partner universities and other institutions.
