The application process begins in August of each year for the following summer and is an online process. BS/MD applicants do not need to submit separate applications to Akron, Kent, or Youngstown. Instead, applicants need only to submit the application available at the link below.
The application deadline for the B.S./M.D. program is October 15 for Early Action and December 15 for Regular Action. Early action is a non-binding application.
Letters of recommendation are not required, and will not be reviewed for consideration into the program. Please do not send letters of recommendation for this program.
Students must obtain United States citizenship or permanent residency status prior to applying to the BS/MD program.

You may pay the application fee by electronic check or credit card when completing the online application. Cash will not be accepted.
Applicants may qualify for waiver of the application fee based on receipt of the following documentation: Fee Waiver
Please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions document for information about sending in your test scores and transcripts. Transcripts must be postmarked by the deadline while test scores must be received prior to the deadline (not requested prior to the deadline). The scores must come directly from the testing company (not from a high school guidance counselor). Scores must be sent directly to Northeast Ohio Medical University using the following school codes:

You must request that your high school transcript be sent directly from your high school to NEOMED. Your high school guidance office can assist you with this. Mail everything well in advance to the address listed above in order to ensure that it is processed by our published deadlines.
College Prep forms need only to be completed by Ohio students. Your high school guidance office must complete and sign the form. You can download a copy of the College Prep Form to print for your counselor to complete.
Application Status Notifications
Automatic email notifications are sent each Wednesday to those applicants that have yet to finish the online application. This email lists the applicant's items that are specifically needed. Applicants can log into their accounts at http://apply.neomed.edu to see what supplemental items we have received. Please allow us a reasonable amount of time to process incoming items.
Early Action applications that are not complete by the October 15 deadline will not be considered for Early Action, but will be considered for Regular Action as long as all application materials are received by December 15.
