The goal of the Auditory Neuroscience Group is to promote excellence in hearing research through a highly collaborative environment. The group currently uses systems, cellular, anatomical and behavioral approaches to study the function of the central auditory system. The group is expanding its boundaries to include related disciplines of communication, clinical audiology, clinical neuroscience and biotechnology to continue innovative basic science research and to develop clinical applications. |
The Skeletal Biology Research Focus Area brings together researchers that study all aspects of bone, cartilage and connective tissue biology in humans and other mammals. Approaches range across all organizational levels, from molecules to organisms. Some research projects are applied, involving clinical research. Others are basic and involve laboratory studies on molecular-level processes, but also field studies on processes at larger time-scales, such as mammalian evolution. |
